Fanny Bay Sea Lions

After our wonderful night out with George and Marilyn we were a little slow to get going this morning. We only had 90km to travel from Comox to Nanoose Bay where we would meet up with Trevor Miles who is joining us until Calgary. Great to have you aboard Trevor.

Once again the scenery was fantastic and the riding easy going relative to other days. The highlight of todays trip was the Californian Sea Lions which take up residence near the Fanny Bay Oyster depot. We could hear them barking from a few hundred meters away as they pushed and shoved for the best real estate on an artificial pontoon set up to keep them away from the fishing boats and jetty. We are just about to enjoy some sockeye salmon at the home of Mel Kuntz and Betty Smith who have also kindly put us all up for the night. Last photo is of their house.
